![]() I think to myself, "Oh well, I didn't buy this for the packaging." They're not consistent with each other, obviating that they must have been designed by separate people with little communication. Moreover, the lettering/artistic style of the case oddly contrasts the pamphlet with the cover art and directions. The main label already has scratching that have worn away parts of the lettering. Overall the container looks like it was assembled in a kids garage for an elementary school art project. The glittery particles on the top look nice, yet since they are unevenly lined around the edges it is rough to hold. The inner rim of the container sort of got half painted. On the bottom the paint is already wearing away revealing the black color of the plastic itself. There is actually an obvious streak of paint drip on the back. While examining the case, I noticed the texture of the plastic was rough, sticky, and uneven. Then I pick up the case containing the magical ocarina. ![]() I first pull out the artwork, it looks really well done: clean polished appearance with lengthy directions on the back. I open up the box, I first noticed the artwork folded tucked neatly on the side, and underneath all of the packing peanuts was the case itself. I was so excited to receive it that I set up text alerts on my phone for the shipping, so that I would know exactly when it arrived at my house. After anxiously waiting for my Star Key ocarina for the past few days I received it in the mail today. I mean, who would sell such a small ocarina for $100 with a limited range if it wasn't produced at the highest quality, if there wasn't something truly special about it? I decided to order it right away. Even after looking at all of the negative remarks and skepticism on this website I still was convinced that there was something special to this ocarina. Let me just preface this review by saying that this is my first time buying a product from Songbird Ocarina, and that I have high standards for it not only for their reputation I hear online, but for the lofty price tag of $100 for such a tiny instrument.Īfter hearing the Launching Sequence on the podcast and Zelda's Lullaby, combined with the explanation of its meditative powers I was sold. Im also pretty sure that the smell doesnt come from me since i was switching Ocarinas today all the time and non of them have a smell on or in them.I have been excited about the Star Key from Songbird Ocarina ever since I learned about it over a week ago. Also not sure if it should write to the Shop and ask why it smells so hard. I dont smoke myself so - not quit sure what i should do about it. The Funny part about it is i played it like 2 Hours and only then i started smelling it. I saw a post on reddit about a smelly Ocarina where someone mentioned Strawfire - but the post is archived and no one awnsered. But if you dont know how it smells - it chould be just me. And it really kinda smells like cold Ash. ![]() It only smells from the Inside - its tasteless tho. I googled but im not sure if the Smell comes from the Strawfire finish or not. ![]() The new one - Songbird Allegro Strawfire smells like hell. The first one - STL Element Storm was good. ![]() Hey, Secently bought my 3rd Ocarina from a Shop in Netherlands. ![]()
