The important thing is to get into the habit of hitting BACK to block, positioning the stick properly when starting up a combo, and so on. But for me, back then, it was enough to prepare for the trip to the arcade at least my hands got used to the motions for special moves in fighting games. The stick was so light that would still slide off the table/ground easily, and playing fighting games with it was a pain at times. It wasn't made by Hori at all it was a no-name brand and the build quality was horrendous. It was even more expensive than this CD-R King Stick (I recall it was about 2,500 or more.). I remember in my early days I had this horrific arcade stick for the SNES, which you had to stick on the floor with suction cups. So when I found this stick at CD-R King, I thought, why not? It's inexpensive, and even if it turns out to be a bust I could just use this occasionally for any PC games I come across which use it. Having picked up SF4 for the PS3, playing on the pad just isn't as satisfying as playing with an arcade stick. I've never, ever seen any store offer the high end HRAP3 or the Hori Pro.EX arcade sticks.Īs I mentioned before, I already have a Hori EX2 stick for my Xbox 360, which I used for WCG last year and I'm continuing to use for online gaming with SF4 on the Xbox 360. Usually I've seen the regular Hori sticks being offered in some game stores. Even before SFIV came out, arcade sticks for any console here in the Philippines is extremely rare, and even if they do come out, they're a bit expensive and you don't have that many sticks to choose from. It's one of the hassles of living in an 'unsupported' country that I haven't got any easy access to peripherals for game consoles. Playing on the PS3 controller is workable, but gives me a sore left thumb. The thing is, arcade sticks for the Playstation 3 have become extremely rare now that Street Fighter IV is out. I spent a (relatively) small amount of money on one of those generic USB Arcade Sticks that they're selling over in CD-R King (the stick cost PHP 550). Mapping the buttons on the CD-R King stick can be quite tedious, with the way SFIV is set up for button mapping.) This will surely be useful for anyone considering to buy the CD-R King USB Arcade Stick. I also have a picture of the BUTTON CONFIGURATION Screen for Street Fighter IV for the Playstation 3, configured for use with the CDR-King USB Arcade Stick. That setup was OK, until I add the z.z.z.11 & 12 as another load balancing gateway to the torrent box (actually, just adding the cdrking router will do) - I guess it can't handle a 3G USB modem with high traffic that well - since when using it for normal browsing/internet it doesn't degrade in performance.(*Pictures included below. The TorrentBox is using z.z.z.14/15/16/17 as round robin style gateways The CW-5354U acts as a gateway for the USB3G modem At the same time, it augments the capacity so nothing is lost.Ĭode: usb - USB 3G Modem My impression is it's great for an internet cafe because you can now have a back-up ISP that automatically kicks in when the other is down. And if you do a speedtest, you are only testing the bandwidth of one ISP. At best, you can get about 70% of the combined BW. If I assign 3G to the first logical WAN port, then I have to plug the DSL modem to the 2nd WAN ethernet port.ĭual wan does not fully combine the bandwidth of both ISPs. I can combine fast downloads from Globe with fast seeding on Smart.īTW, even if you use a 3G modem, you still lose one LAN port for the 2nd WAN. On torrents, dowanload speeds are crappy on Smart but uploads are great. For example, I route to one WAN port and IPTracker to the other WAN port to verify my IP address. You can route destinations to a specific WAN port. You can assign QOS independently on each WAN connection, both upload and download. The dual-WAN has plenty of neat features. Sometimes it has difficulty dialing into SmartBro. It is important because I often command the router to disconnect/reconnect until I get a non-proxied IP address. It displays both are disconnected even if in reality only one is disconnected. It is easily confused when one is disconnected. The PPPoE/3G dialer is buggy on the dual-WAN. Modem detection relies on the modeswitch program for linux. The correct APN setting is also inputted there. The second WAN port in the basic settings page is set to 3G modem. Simultaneously, a Huawei E176 3G modem is plugged to the USB port. The WAN port of the CW-5354U is set to PPPoE for Globe. The WAN port is connected to my Globe DSL modem. Right now I have got it setup on the CDR-King CW-5354U.
